
India's injury woes continued with medium pacer, Praveen Kumar facing fitness problems ahead of the all important World Cup. India will start their campaign against Bangladesh in the tournament opener on February 19th.
According to sources, Kumar is likely to be fit for the World Cup. The right armer had sustained an elbow injury during just-concluded ODI series against South Africa. he returned home from without playing a single game.
Kumar is reported to be going through the recovery process the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore and is likely to leave for England for a thorough check-up and treatment.
"I don't have full confirmation whether he has left or he would leave. We're waiting for his visa," a board official said.
"There a few niggles to different players. These are minor issues and nothing to be worried," he said,
If Kumar fails to recover in time, Shanthakumaran Sreesanth could be picked.
