We're hoping for a 6-1 result: Clarke

Clarke is hoping to get back in the winner's circle with a victory for the Queensland flood victims.

Australian captain Michael Clarke has said that though his team were chasing a whitewash in the CB series against England, they would take a 6-1 result.

Australia lead the series 3-1 and would be looking to settle the series in the 5th game at the Gabba.

Although we didn't have the result that we wanted last night, the boys have spoken about where we didn't perform as well as we'd have liked," said Clarke.

"Every time you walk on to the ground you want your team to have success and you want to walk off as winners. We didn't have that feeling through the Test series, but we've had a taste for it in the first three one-dayers and we like that taste."

"To me, we're trying to win every game. I wanted to win 7-0, but unfortunately that can't happen now, but we can win 6-1, and that's my goal."

"I'm confident that we can come out here tomorrow and win this series."

The stand in skipper, who has been short of runs throughout the season, has said that he is training hard and keen to get back to his prime form.

"I'm definitely sick of talking about it and a lot of people are sick of reading about it," he said of his run drought. "I've said before the facts are there. My performances haven't been anywhere near as good as they need to be throughout this summer.

"I've felt like at times I've been hitting the ball pretty well but I haven't been able to go on and, not just get a big score or a hundred, but even get a 50 or a 70. I'm looking for answers and for me the only way to find those answers is to train my backside off."

He said that the series is a perfect opportunity to get ready for the World Cup to be played in the sub continent.

"It's vital that we keep having success in this format of the game."

"If we can win this series and be playing some of our best cricket as a team, I think that can only help your preparation."

"Knowing that we've had success in the subcontinent in one-day cricket, knowing that we've won the last three World Cups in a row, I think we can take a lot of confidence from that already, but the more we can win here against England, who are a pretty good one-day team, that's got to help us."

Meanwhile, the visitors, with a victory at Adelaide, have shown once again that they will fight it out till the end.

Kevin Pietersen said that the win in the previous game has raised the morale of the side and that they're looking forward to make an 'amazing' comeback in the tournament.

"It was nice to win in Adelaide, you always look for momentum but momentum hasn't meant a lot on this trip so far. It's a different ground with different conditions and whoever adjusts best will win tomorrow," he said.

"We are looking forward to playing, we can't afford to lose, and we'll be looking to fight as hard as we did in Adelaide and play a bit better."
